**Spitfire Staffing **is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our well established and successful clients in Golden Cross, East Sussex.

**The Role**:

- Set up machines at start of shift to prepare for the workload.
- Perform all necessary safety checks at the start of each shift.
- Perform testing of quality throughput and optimize throughput during the production run to hit targets.
- Report on set up, run time and down time through the shop floor data.
- Monitor machines during every run to ensure optimum running speeds.
- Maintain, clean and re-calibrate machines at the end of each shift.
- Operate pallet jacks and other production equipment.
- Always maintain a safe working environment and ensure there is no buildup of waste materials.
- Provide relevant information relating to progress to the Production Manager.
- To maintain standards in line with the requirements of the job and any policies in place.
- To undertake any duties and responsibilities as may be determined by a director from time to time.
- To comply with equal opportunities legislation and be pro active in challenging prejudice and discrimination.
- To adhere to the procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
- To cover shifts to meet the needs of the business from time to time.

**Details**:

- £11.20ph + Holiday accrual
- Day Shift
- Monday to Thursday / 0600 to 1645
- Friday / 0600 to 1445
- 48 Hours pw
- Temp to Perm

**Requirements are**:

- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Understanding of technology and basic computer skills
- Good level of health and safety
- Ability to listen, learn and take instruction (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of quality issues
- Ability to calculate measurements
- Reliable with good time keeping
- Physical stamina and understanding of manual handling
- Flexibility
- willing to work other shifts from time to time
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute fully to meet team goals

**Salary**: £11.20 per hour

- Monday to Friday
