Farnham Maltings are looking to recruit a Marketing Officer. The role will support Farnham Maltings activity across a range of marketing areas from on-site publicity to digital marketing and would suit someone in the early stages of their career looking to build experience and develop skills in an arts and cultural marketing role.

This role assists the Communications & Marketing Manager and Communications & Marketing Officer to achieve targets, implement an audience development strategy, and support the Farnham Maltings wide range of activity.

Position: Marketing Officer

Reports to: Communications & Marketing Manager

Contract: Full time Permanent, 37.5 hours per week to be worked across Monday to Friday. Occasional evening and weekend required.

1. **Objectives and Responsibilities**:
1.1 Working as part of the Marketing team to design and execute effective marketing and communications campaigns for Farnham Maltings.

1.2 Maintain social media to promote the organisation, its events, and activities.

The Marketing Officer will support Farnham Maltings activity across a range of marketing areas from on-site publicity to digital marketing and would suit someone in the early stages of their career looking to build experience and develop skills in an arts and cultural marketing role.

**2.** **Duties**:
**2.1 Working as part of the Marketing team to design and execute effective marketing and communications campaigns for Farnham Maltings.**
- Support the delivery of marketing and PR campaigns for Farnham Maltings programmed events, outreach and festivals.
- Be a business partner to other departments, to support them in creating a strategy and plans for their marketing and comms.

**2.2 Maintain social media to promote the organisation, its events and activities.**
- Maintain social media channels, conveying the organisation’s tone of voice, cultivating followers, and responding to audience enquiries. Use analytics to make recommendations on the best use of channels for different events / audiences.
- Create social media content in-line with campaign briefs on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
- Support the development of social media channels to reach new audiences.
- Actively seek opportunities to capture video and photographic content for Farnham Maltings social media channels.

**2.3 Content Creation & Design**
- Create imaginative, high-quality content for the website and social media channels.
- Create the Maltings e-communications including pre
- Oversee show print, overprinting external print, maintaining print display around the building, and organising exit-flyering of shows.
- Welcome new members and nurture existing relationships through e-comms.
- Make updates to the website, ticketing system and front of house displays.
- Lead on the design of marketing materials including flyers, posters, adverts and other marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Coordinate content for seasonal programmes, cast sheets and other print material.
- Design flyers and adhoc posters for events where the promoter doesn’t supply and own events.
- Design and print other promotional items banners, bookmarks etc. and materials for members/patrons as required.

**2.4 Supporting Festivals**
- Working with the Communications & Marketing team to support marketing the festival programme. This includes but is not limited to maintaining social media channels, e-communications, website updates.
- Support the creation of the festival marketing materials.
- Gather feedback from festival exhibitors and audiences.

**General**
- Provide cover for Box Office on occasions, agreed in advance with the line manager.
- Champion sustainability in marketing activities.
- Uphold Farnham Maltings brand guidelines and style in all work.
- Stand in for Marketing colleagues as required. Any other reasonable duties that arise to fulfil the objectives of Farnham Maltings.
