We are delighted to announce exciting new opportunities to join the Mid and South Essex Children’s services that support children and young people with a palliative or end of life diagnosis in Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (MSEICS)

The Children and Young People’s Co-ordinator role is a new role in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System / Mid and South Essex Community Collaborative and will be responsible for ensuring services across the Acute / Community /Hospice and Voluntary sector are able to provide evidence-based, specialist and personalised nursing care for Children and Young People requiring palliative and end of life support.

Mid and South Essex ICB is a statutory organisation responsible for the planning and delivery of local health and care systems, across Mid and South Essex and is part of the wider integrated care system. Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. The headquarters for the organisation is Phoenix Court, Basildon, but there is a hybrid model of working, which includes working across Mid and South Essex and home working.

The role includes extensive collaborative working with Children’s Community Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Consultant Paediatricians, GP’s, Hospices, Tertiary Centres, Health Visitors and School Nurses, Schools, Nurseries and Colleges to ensure support is offered to enable the safe delivery of relevant, co-ordinated and high-quality care for children and families who require palliative and end of life support within the hospital ,hospice and community setting.
