Senior Planner

My client is one of Northern Ireland’s leading specialist façade companies, they have gained an excellent industry reputation built on 25 years’ experience of successfully delivering multi-million-pound contracts encompassing retail, commercial, educational, and healthcare projects across Ireland the UK. They have recently invested in new state-of-the-art offices coupled with a cutting-edge 40,000 square foot production facility based in Lisburn.

They seek to recruit a full-time permanent **Senior Planner **to join their dynamic team. You will contribute to our success by playing a crucial role in the planning and coordination ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects.

Key Tasks
- Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive phased project programmes.
- Producing marked up drawings relevant to the project phases.
- Analysis, preparation and monitoring of project timelines, identifying critical paths and key milestones and potential risks, developing proactive mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal departments, external contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and change orders.
- Provide expertise and support to the project team, producing resource histograms relevant to capacity planning/labour requirements/cash flow forecasts.
- Assist the estimating department on project bids including programme creation, resourcing requirements & capacity planning.
- Assist the production team with planning input to the production planning tools.
- Play a key role at internal/external project meetings.
- Assist with EOT claims by providing programme related input relating to delay entitlement.
- Carry out ‘What IF’ scenarios to forecast risks/opportunities.
- Demonstrates commercial acumen.
- Periodic visits to construction sites within the UK & Ireland may be required.
- 3 years planning experience within a construction background.
- Proficient in the use of Project Planning software and competence in MS Office.
- Confident individual able to challenge internal/external project stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively.
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently across diverse projects.
- Façade experience - preferred
- ASTA Powerproject - desirable
