Overview:
Change Grow Live are a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives, offering support and respect in a safe environment, treating each user as an individual and working with them to find the right treatment and care options.

As a part time
**Outreach Worker** with Change Grow Live, you’ll be based in Newhaven & Eastbourne and work with partner agencies to support individuals needing drug and/or alcohol treatment. This role will require someone to be engaging, motivational and have a passion to support people to access the right support.

**Hours**: 18.75

**Salary**: £26,393.77 - £30,316.74 pro rata

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Supporting service users to access treatment and start their recovery journey
- Providing screening, assessment, and onward referral
- Engaging with individuals at a wider range of venues
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
- Build relationships with partner agencies in Newhaven
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination

**About you**:

- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Have a good working knowledge of motivational and assertive outreach interventions
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
- Ability to understand, manage and mitigate risks to our service users
- Ability to travel between venues in Newhaven & Eastbourne
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
