Responsibilities of the role include:

- Setting up the exam room before each exam session
- Checking students' identification and ensuring that they are aware of the exam rules
- Distributing exam papers and collecting them at the end of the session
- Monitoring the students throughout the exam to prevent cheating or other malpractice
- Reporting any issues or incidents that occur during the exam to the appropriate staff member
