**Head of Quality (Apprenticeships)**

**The opportunity**

We are advertising an exciting opportunity to join the university's Apprenticeships Unit as Head of Quality. The role will have overall responsibility for ensuring the university's apprenticeship provision is of the highest quality and compliant with the regulatory requirements as set out by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE), Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Ofsted, Office for Students, and other relevant internal and external regulatory frameworks.

**Typically, you will**:

- As a member of the Apprenticeships Senior Management Team the post holder will provide leadership in the quality of degree apprenticeships across the University in line with the Apprenticeships Strategy, the Education Strategy and the University's Road to 2030.
- Lead teams effectively to maintain the Ofsted Outstanding status and full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain successful partnerships with key external and internal stakeholders, employers, external agencies, academic and professional services departments. Provide strategic leadership for Programme Managers and associated posts within the Apprenticeships Unit.
- To advise and support the academic teams, across all apprenticeship programmes, to effectively manage the ongoing development and delivery of outstanding Degree Apprenticeships, maintaining excellent success rates and proactively addressing issues where required.
- Work collaboratively with managers across the Apprenticeships Unit, and wider university to ensure existing systems and processes are adopted to reduce risk and enhance the apprentice journey, leading to positive outcomes.

**What are we looking for?**
- An Ofsted Inspector with up-to-date knowledge of apprenticeships in a higher education setting and the Ofsted Inspection regime.
- Experience of leading and motivating teams to deliver high performance and achieve high quality provision.
- Experience of managing apprenticeship or educational projects and programmes in an educational setting ensuring that outcomes are achieved.
- Experience of leading and motivating teams to deliver high performance.
