**Outline**:Spa Communications is an award-winning PR, social media and creative content marketing agency based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

We’re on the hunt for an ambitious, committed, and driven PR and Social Media Executive to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate, or university student looking to complete their year in industry placement and gain some hands-on experience.

As a B2B tech agency, we support clients working across several key technology disciplines including AI, data centres, software systems, renewables, and sustainable technologies.

The role will involve a hybrid working model comprising of remote-based work and flexible in-office days, up-to three days per week.

**Role Overview**:
Our PR and Social Media Executive will be responsible for a mix of content creation, media relations and social media management.

The job role will entail a mixture of tasks, from curating, writing, and scheduling social media posts for brand profiles and key client spokespeople, to creating articles, press releases and pitching them to the media.

They will work with and support other senior members of the agency, including account managers and directors, in directly servicing clients, and must have the ability to balance and prioritise their workload according to deadlines and campaign schedules.

All PR and Social Media Executives represent the agency at the customer level and are key in helping clients increase awareness. Overall, they are expected to successfully plan and execute campaigns and play a positive role in the agency’s growth strategy by delivering work to a high standard.

**PR responsibilities**:

- To write press releases, news stories and articles
- To network with and build relationships with key journalists, influencers, and analysts
- To join clients and team members at industry events
- To brainstorm fresh ideas for PR and social media content
- To manage forward features, monitor media coverage and report results

**Social Media responsibilities**:

- To draft, curate and develop social media posts on behalf of clients’ brand and spokesperson profiles
- To manage clients’ organic social media presence across Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- To help create and deliver reports detailing impressions, engagement, and follower growth
- To brainstorm fresh ideas for social media content
- To plan content using sharepoint and manage scheduling via tools like Buffer
- To establish connections with key technology influencers including analysts and media contacts

**Key skills**
- **English language fluency**:

- **Copywriting**: You must be hot on spelling, grammar, and proofreading, as well as have a creative flair for producing engaging content with a tech-twist.
- **Communication**: From sharing ideas with your team, to pitching stories to journalists, you need to organise information in a succinct and interesting way to capture the targets’ attention.
- **Excellent telephone manner**: You will spend a lot of your time talking to clients pitching stories to journalists, so you need to have the confidence to pick up the phone and speak to them, whilst maintaining a positive and friendly tone.
- **Timekeeping**: You will often be working to tight media deadlines as well as meeting the demands and pressures of both your team and clients, so you need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality.
- **Resilience**:You need to be confident enough to pick up the phone to journalists and resilient enough to handle criticism and rejection if/ when received. This, however, will build with time and practice.

**Qualifications and experience**
- Agency experience is needed for this role and applicants with existing experience, internships or those looking for year-in-industry placements are welcome to apply.
- A relevant graduate or undergraduate degree in PR, marketing, journalism, or English is welcomed, but is _not_ essential to apply.
- Qualifications from the PRCA, Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), or Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) are also welcomed.

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
