**RSK Acoustics **looking for a high calibre **Acoustics Consultant** (or **Senior** Consultant) to join their team in **Glasgow. (**Edinburgh and flexible working will also be considered**). **This is a **full time, permanent** opportunity and is due to the significant growth in the Scottish region. This is an office based role, and will include travel to sites as and when required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Undertaking testing for noise and vibration work and will require regular use of logarithms and other mathematical formulae,
- Using software and Noise Modelling Package (i.e. SoundPlan, CadnaA, IMMI, CATT, Odeon or equivalent); and be able to quickly adapt to using other bespoke software packages,
- Project manager project finances and financial control
- Undertaking environmental noise measurement and measurements of specific sources, such as machinery,
- Undertaking noise/vibration surveys for planning assessments, with the ability to react to onsite conditions when determining the most appropriate meter locations,
- Adapt current knowledge to a range of situations, and to identify when and where to seek help from other sources when the limit of knowledge is reached,
- Investigate specific problems and troubleshoot issues requiring adaptation of knowledge and technique,

**Person Specification**
- Relevant years’ experience in acoustic consultancy (Consultant),
- A good level of project management capability together with commercial awareness are also expected. Experience of mentoring and training junior staff will be looked on favourably
- Hands on experience with computer modelling software will be desirable.
- Full clean UK driving licence
