Are you a shaft technician or shaft engineer looking for a new project?

Do you have experience of working in an underground mining or tunnelling environment in a surveying, geology or geotechnical role ?

My client is seeking a Shaft Technician / Engineer who will work as part of the shaft sinking crew and is responsible for the co-ordination, collection and reporting of all the routine technical data related to the shaft sinking activities.

The role will include

Producing shift logs to track progress, downtime, pick consumption, ventilation readings, logging blast times

Maintaining situational awareness and advise sinking crew of any known potential hazards, changes in diameter and expected conditions

Be the in-shaft surveying resource

Collate Geological and Geo technical data of the ground as the sink progresses

As well as other responsibilities

The Project itself is large $multibillion greenfield mining project and is unique in its construction.
