Enhance Social Care support young people between 16-25. We are looking for people to join our community team whose role will on focus on supporting peers in their own home and the community. This will focus on strengthening each persons personal identity and helping young people who are autistic develop independence skills.

Our community support team provides social care and support to teenagers and young adults both in 24 hour supported living and via community outreach.
We are looking for individuals who can provide different experiences to reflect the interests of the people we support. This could include online Gaming, Music, Gym, or hikes in the countryside. It will be your role to motivate and support people to engage in a range of interests. You must be good at adapting to change and supporting people in new activities you might not have done before.
Our 24/7 Community Support Team is changing wrap around social care support for teens and young adults with autism. We are seeking peers ideally with a little experience mentoring, coaching or supporting children, teenagers or autistic adults.
We offer both great opportunities for experienced and trained Support Workers and superb training for people new to direct support work.

- _**For this role? **_We are looking for people who will be employed as community support workers and can act as peers for older teenagers and young adults in the community. You will be based at our supported living project in Withington but may work across Manchester as part our outreach team. _
- _**What do we do? **_We provide inclusive, innovative, and responsive 24 hour support, outreach and wrap around support for people with autism between 16-30._
- _**How do we do this in Manchester? **_We have 3 specialist assessment beds in Withington and provide wrap around outreach support in peoples own homes across Manchester._
- _**What do our Community Support Workers do? **_Based at our 24 hour specialist supported living project you will work with your manager to lead a small team of support workers on site and off site in the community._
- _**What hour swill I work? **_ _We agree regular shifts each week that work around your lifestyle and the needs of the people we support. We work 7 days a week 24 hours per day and we will agree shifts with you that fit around your study or commitments. _
- _**What contract will I be on? **_We offer permanent contracts to people who agree a fixed number of hours per week and bank contracts to people whose availability moves up and down. _
- _**Do I need my own car? **_Having your own car is a benefit bot not essential but you will need a valid UK driving license as you may be supporting people using their vehicle._
- _**Will I work in the community? **_Yes - the great thing about this role is that you will also support people from their own home in the community._
- _**What activities will I do? **_We do everything a person wants to do - aside form the normal stuff you could be hiking, going to the Gym or supporting the person to access education or a work placement._
- **I **_**am new to Support, what support will I receive?**_ _You will receive direct support and direction from your Senior colleagues and Team Leader. This support will be on shift with you and remotely using technology. Also you will have regular job consultations, this is an open and honest dialogue between you and your line manager about your role and feedback on your performance and an opportunity for you to discuss any help you may need._
