As a Fire Door Auditor for Ark Workplace Risk, you will be part of a rapidly growing fire auditing team. As a growing company, agility is key therefore it's important to us that if our priorities change, we are able to move quickly to meet new challenges. Working as a contractor you will be part of our remote working team of auditors, servicing existing fire door auditing contracts in the Greater London area.

**THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU**
- Following our prescribed proprietary audit process, you will consistently deliver high quality reports.
- Assessing the suitability, condition, and fire safety of the existing fire doors in residential blocks.
- Using a handheld tablet and the tools provided, you will follow our prescribed 34 step check, recording your findings in a pre-formatted excel spread sheet.
- Make suitable recommendations on remedial works and submit your final report to our QA team.

You will be provided with a handheld tablet and the necessary tools to undertake this service, submitting invoices at the end of each calendar month to reflect the days worked. Full training will be provided, although previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

- Proficient/intermediate level in Microsoft Excel.

- Technically minded
- Good observation skills
- A degree of physical fitness as you will be on your feet most of the day, walking around buildings.

**DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant fire safety qualification or experience
- Knowledge of fire doors
- FDIS diploma or equivalent
- Membership of any professional body (such as IFE, IFSM, ASFP, IFPO, IIRSM)
- Relevant experience working in the built environment

**JOB SPECIFICS**

**Day Rate**:£140 - £160 depending on experience and location.

**Additional**: Work-related travel expenses reimbursed

**Location**: Predominantly working within Greater London. Remote working at London-based client sites and occasional periods working from home, checking and preparing reports for submission.

**Work Times**: Monday to Friday, typically 8.30am - 5pm, 5 days a week*
- we will also consider 3-4 day/week options as well
