London, United Kingdom Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust Full time

An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Team Leader position in Frays Ward (Acute setting) has arisen.

CNWL prides itself on its investment in staff in developing career skills and itscommitment to staff health and wellbeing. As part of this post, you will receive this and much more.

We seek compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our excellent teams on Frays Ward at Riverside Centre Adult Acute Services. Rated by The Care Quality Commission (CQC) as Good, we wish to recruit Nurses who embody the core values of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) Compassion, Respect, Empowerment, and Partnership. We are dedicated to providing the best care for our Service Users during their inpatient stay. As such, our Ward is at the forefront of implementing Trauma-Informed Approaches to Mental Health Care in the Trust.

As a Clinical Team Leader, you will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions to service users in acute crises. You will be highly skilled in supporting their recovery and working with service users experiencing high levels of distress and disturbance. You will work as Unit Coordinator, providing leadership and senior nursing support to the teams out of hours.

Don't hesitate to contact the recruiting manager for further information or arrange an informal visit.

The Trust is committed to ensuring that you achieve a good work/life balance, and have access to a wide range of support including flexible working options, childcare support, and many training and development opportunities. CNWL provides excellent learning and development opportunities, and as a Band 6 Clinical Team Leader, you will be well supported through preceptorship, supervision, and training.

An engaged staff is more productive and Band 6 nurses play a role in engaging other staff members in the Trust and the work we do by:

- Providing supervision and annual appraisals to individuals and giving constructive, regular feedback which helps those individuals reflect on their work, understand their objectives and the CQC standards, and monitor their progress towards achieving them
- Participating constructively in their own supervision and annual appraisal processes
- Using continuing professional development funds to develop a relevant clinical specialism, gain sign-off mentorship skills or undertake accredited leadership or management modules.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

Band 6 nurses contribute to the provision of safe and reliable services by:

- Using their clinical judgment and risk assessments to keep the people using our services as safe as possible
- Safeguarding people by recognising and responding when an adult or child might be at risk from abuse, recognising their limits, asking for help, and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Escalating safety concerns and, by doing so, acting as effective advocates for those who use our services
- Being open and transparent about their practice
- Supervising the work of others
- Reflecting on everyday practice to identify areas where improvements in safety or quality can be made
- Working with others to create a culture of continuous improvement
- Maintaining accurate, legible, comprehensive records
- Maintaining compliance with their mandatory training requirements.

The NMC plays an essential role in safeguarding the public by regulating the work of nurses. All nurses, including Band 6 nurses, must register with the NMC each year and adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct.
