Trust Locum Paediatrician

The post holder will work at both the University Hospital of North Tees and the University Hospital of Hartlepool and will share in the emergency work for Paediatrics.
Applicants must possess MRCPCH or equivalent qualification and should be on the Specialist Register.
The post will be offered at a 10 PA contract under the Terms and Conditions for Service for Consultants (England) 2003.
The Consultant will assume a direct clinical role within the Department sharing all facilities and workload equally with the present Consultants.
This post is deemed to require a Disclosure Check - Enhanced Level with the Criminal Records Bureau. This is due to the fact the post has access to children or vulnerable adults.

The post holder will take part in on-call duties for general Paediatrics and will be Resident/non-resident/Hybrid working when on-call. He/she will share the Consultant rota along with other colleagues. The post holder will be required to spend sessions in neonatal unit (SCBU ) and cover general paediatrics.
The post holder will undertake administrative duties associated with the running his/her clinical work.
Active participation in Undergraduate and Postgraduate training is expected.
