**CASEWORK OFFICER** - **EAST ANTRIM**

HappyJobsNI are working alongside our client The Alliance Party in their appointment of a Casework Officer for the East Antrim Constituency Office.
- To assist in the work of the Constituency Office by delivering effective casework as part of the Member’s constituency services.
- Log casework, monitor progress and take appropriate action.
- Deal with enquiries sensitively and confidentially.
- Review key themes emerging from casework to identify issues to be progressed either with statutory agencies or by legislative action.
- Research a range of issues relating to constituency casework, providing report to the MLA and to Constituency and Casework Manager to enable resolution of issues.
- Dealing with complex queries and complaints on Member’s behalf, including drafting letters for Member to sign
- Planning and organising events.
- Attending surgeries, tribunals, meetings, and conferences as appropriate.
- Planning and organising meetings, and provision of secretarial support as required.
- Attending work related training and networking meetings to develop skills.
- Other duties as required in support of the Member carrying out his Assembly duties.

**Essential Criteria**
- Five GCSEs grade C including English and Mathematics
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative role or office setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work with databases
- Experience of dealing with sensitive information in line with GDPR
- Understanding of Alliance Party objectives

**Office Location**: Danny Donnelly MLA Constituency Office, 73 Main Street, Larne. BT40 1HH.

**Hours**: 15 hours per week (Part time)

**Holidays**: 28 days per annum pro rata (exclusive of public holidays)

**Salary**: £12.83 per hour (£24,679 per annum pro rata)

**Pension**: 10% Employer’s pension contribution to Assembly-approved scheme

**Duration**: Temporary appointment due to the lack of an executive and coincident with MLAs term in office.
