The role

Due to growth of Fugro in our Land, and Nearshore Projects we are now seeking an Assistant Driller.

As an Assistant Driller you will assist with the operation of drilling rigs, on Land or Nearshore projects, to industry technical specifications and Company procedures, within Fugro and British Drilling Association Codes of safe drilling practice and NVQ standard. Your time will be spent in the field both in the UK and internationally.

Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals, who are looking to develop experience within the drilling industry or have experience of land or nearshore drilling. The role will entail working outdoors, in all weathers and can be in some challenging environments, so resilience and a positive outlook is key. In this role you may be working from home at long periods of time, experiencing new cultures and environments, so flexibility is essential for the role. This is a hands-on role, and you will certainly be kept busy. We are looking for people who are practice and adaptable to meet unexpected demands with tight time constraints, this role is exciting and provide you variety, within your work. If you hold an NVQ level 2 in Drilling or a BDA Accreditation this would be an asset, however full training is given to those wanting to enter the sector.
