**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**

**Part Time Accounts Assistant - 16 - 24 hours over 2/3 days**

**Department**

**Accounts**

**Main Purpose of Job**

**To provide finance & administrative support.**

**You may be required to assist any section within the department as needs require. Each member will be responsible for the smooth running of the area in that they are working and will be monitored on both individual performance and teamwork.**

**Key Tasks**
- **Posting and checking of invoices (both incoming/outgoing)**:

- **Prepare expense and mileage claims for Financial Controller**:

- **Petty cash**:

- **Credit checking**:

- **Setting up new customers/suppliers**:

- **Responding to all accounts queries.**:

- **Maintain tool & uniform lists**:

- **Pension administration - new starters**

**Key Skills**
- **Strong experience of Sage Line 50 and Excel**:

- **Bookkeeping/Accounting experience preferable**:

- **AAT L1/L2 or equivalent desirable**:

- **Prioritisation and time planning skills.**:

- **Team Player**:

- **Excellent organisational skills**:

- **Honesty and discretion when handling confidential financial information**

**Reporting To**
- **Financial Controller**

Part-time hours: 16 - 24 per week

- Southampton, Hampshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
