A borough based in West London is seeking a Head of Repairs to support the Repairs Client Team for the wider borough and would be responsible to the team of agents reporting to them.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months Interim
Days: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays (Paid at a premium)
The Package:
PAYE: £380 - £500 per day - Option to Engage via Umbrella PAYE. No Limited Companies/Self Employed accepted for this particular role

Job Purpose:
Directly responsible for the day-to-day operational management and deployment of resources across the Repairs service. This role will ensure that the Repairs team are responsive to customer and community demands while contributing to the councils’ key strategicaims and priorities, generating contract efficiencies, ensuring value for money, and being the first point of contact for operational escalation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Repairs this role will head up the Repairs Client Team (made up of approximately 25 staff members) and directly line-manage 3 senior managers
To lead, manage and develop the Client Team, in line with relevant legislation namely Council policies relating to Gas, Electric, Disrepair, Asbestos, and CDM.
To provide leadership, management, and direction to a team of multi-faceted professionally qualified staff who are responsible for monitoring contractual and financial compliance and client satisfaction for contracted services.
To provide leadership and strategic direction for the delivery of all services in line with the wider council Business Plan.
To work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership team to deliver continuous service improvement and satisfaction with the Economy
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to Council policies in relation to Equal Opportunity, Resident Care, and service delivery, and the ability to implement these policies in the workplace.
Experience in Contract Management
Experience in managing a Repair and Voids or similar service
Qualification in leadership and Management e.g. DMS or MBA
Qualification in Health and Safety e.g. SMSTS
Evidence of continuous professional development within Construction & Housing
Extensive experience of working in a social housing or regulatory environment for either a local authority, housing association or equivalent
Experience of managing a diverse range of staff and functions including managing contractors, social housing projects or regulation of private sector housing
Extensive experience in developing and implementing structures and procedures to ensure proper governance and compliance in managing contracted services
Demonstrable experience of capital and revenue budget and resource management and developing and implementing expenditure plans.
Experience of leading successful project management work with identifiable outcomes.
Professional qualification RICS/CIOB or equivalent (Desirable)
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing or other comparable professional body (Desirable)
Holds a current and full UK driving Licence
