We are currently recruiting for qualified Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and paramedics to join an established multi-professional team with at least 1-year minimum experience within the roles provided above. They are lookingfor PIP (Personal Independent Payment) assessors to deliver the highest of standards using the clinical knowledge you must assess, analyse, and write concise reports upon your findings and to work on behalf of the DWP.

**What a day in the life of a Disability Assessor looks like**:

- You would be completing medical assessments and writing up detailed reports, reviewing other medical reports and gathering supporting evidence to back up your PIP claimant.
- You will assess and observe individuals who have a range of conditions such as physical, mental health, cognitive and sensory impairments.
- Conducting a thorough functional medical assessment of their disability or condition.
- Use of strong communication skills to learn more about how their disability affects them.
- Write and Submit reports using IT systems.
There are two roles available when undertaking the disability assessor role, the one chosen for you depends on the business needs:
Back Office - this role requires you to review PIP cases and complete paper-based reviews of the cases. You would be the first person to review a PIP case including terminally ill cases and you would be expected to gather evidence and the medical evidence required.
Front Office - you are required to complete telephone assessments with individuals suffering from various conditions including physical, mental and/or learning disabilities. You must then write up a concise report following the telephone assessment. Your roledoes not require you to treat, diagnose or make any decision nor does it require any hands-on care. Although your previous clinical knowledge will be useful when completing your detailed assessments and writing in depth reports.
**What we are looking for**:

- Full HCPC/NMC registration
- 1 years’ experience postgraduate
- Skilled in report writing
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
