Gardener 1376

Part Time Experienced Gardener required for private country house located in Layer Breton near Colchester Essex.

We are looking for someone who can work 3 full days a week throughout the year to manage these lovely, established 4.5 acre gardens.

The Position:

- All lawn care using large garden machinery
- Maintaining the small hedges around the garden
- Maintaining the formal borders-weeding, pruning, cutting back etc
- Keeping the cutting garden refreshed to produce flowers for the house and a good display
- Vegetable and fruit growing
- Looking after the small greenhouse plants.
- Edging, path clearing, patio plants etc

The Person:

- Reliable, punctual with a really good work ethic
- Will have a good horticultural background and excellent plant identification skills
- Must be happy to work alone and use own initiative
- Will have high standards and take a pride in making sure the gardens look their best at all times
- Polite and easy to get along with
- Experienced with the use and maintenance of large garden machinery including ride on mower, strimmers etc
- Car driver with own transport

A good hourly rate will be offered to the successful person who can provide excellent references.
