Our sister company, BFC (Bolted Frame Company), specialises in steel frame fabrication, offering top-quality systems tailored to each project during assembly and installation. Due to increase in workload, BFC have an immediate starts available for an experienced QA Supervisor.

In this role as our QA Supervisor, a hands-on approach, effective communication skills (both oral and written), and experience in managing daily operations at a facility are essential.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Proficiency in steel in a manufacturing setting is required.
- Familiarity with Structural design software such as Tekla and a Q.A. management system like Q-Pulse is preferred.
- Understanding technical and structural drawings is a fundamental requirement.
- Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is crucial.

**Main Tasks and Duties**
- Organising tasks/workload for Team leaders and associated staff.
- Devising work schedules and implementing deadlines to assist the production management.
- Ensuring that quality standards are maintained and where necessary revised and improved where relevant.
- Briefing their teams on new initiatives, changes to targets and company news
- Recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring are a key skill required for helping staff reach their professional development goals.
- Planning workloads, allocating tasks and monitoring progress against targets.
- Conduct performance reviews with Team Leaders and overseeing the performance of subordinate staff.
- Compiling staff rotas, dealing with leave requests and arranging cover when necessary
- Ensure all documentation and company records are kept up to date, in particular documentation relating to quality.
- Ensure reporting staff maintain records and documentation and file in the relevant folders.
- Liaise with Technical Managers, Design Team, Project Managers, and Site Managers to ensure instructions regarding panel deliveries, etc., is communicated and documentation supplied.
- Having the ability to bring ideas and solutions to ongoing problems.
- Has the ability to work closely and in a private & confidential manner with colleagues is a necessity of the role.
- Carry out internal audits of the quality systems to ensure they are compliant with our ISO’s.
- Carry out site Audits of the quality systems and assembled panels/site Hot Rolled material to ensure they are compliant our ISO’s.
- Carry out audits on our Sub-Contractor fabricators quality systems.
- Raise NCRs, where relevant and carry out investigations to their root cause and close out as required.
- Investigate NCRs raised relating to BFC/Met’s activities and close out as required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory/Management role
- HND/HNC in an engineering capacity (Electrical/Mechanical preferred)
- IT literate with experience of all the main packages
- A qualification in a management capacity is preferred but not essential.
- **Full working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 is essential.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,078.41-£62,406.13 per year
