**MS329 - Electrical Tester**
**Location**: Mansfield
**Salary**: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum DOE
**Overview**: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrical Tester on behalf of one of our clients.
You will undertake the full range of electrical engineering maintenance activities, observing all relevant safety standards and procedures, to ensure a safe working environment for all patients, visitors and staff, including activities, which may be complexand/or non-routine.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Undertake planned maintenance works at the request of the Electrical Supervisor.
- Assist other colleagues / contractors where other skills are involved.
- Undertake any safety checks and tests on completion of maintenance tasks and document accordingly.
- Liaise with the Electrical Supervisor regarding plant or equipment failures and to request the supply of materials, spares and / or services as necessary. This may involve direct liaison with suppliers or contractors and collecting materials from supplier’spremises.
- Carry out cross trade works including electrical and building / carpentry repairs.
- Complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary.
- Responsible for undertaking electrical installations in accordance with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations, British Standards, approved codes of practice and all relevant HTM’s.
- Interpret and follow regulations at all times.
- Immediately advise the Works Controller of any deviation from the regulations.
- Follows detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Uses all relevant PPE, tools and equipment within safety guidelines.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Recognised time served electrical apprenticeship, in Contracting, Maintenance supported by the relevant qualification at that time.
- IET, BS 7671 :2018 A1, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, qualification.
- C&G Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations.
- CSCS Safety passport or equivalent health and safety card.
- Experience of working within a hospital environment (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of H&S, Quality and Environmental standards and procedures.
