**Main responsibilities and duties**

This job description is not exhaustive and may be amended as the business adapts to current economic situations and as the Company grows, you may be expected to take on extra duties that fall within your general remit.

You must comply with documented quality system procedures, and you have a responsibility to actively support the Company’s quality ethic and quality improvement programmes.

It is the duty of every staff member to represent the company in the best possible light, and to ensure that customer’s highest expectations are satisfied.

**Overall Function**

Fuel Technician: fuel tank and gauge installations, pipework, fuel sampling, site surveys and that relevant paperwork is completed for customers and office records.

You must ensure that all procedures are followed and correct P.P.E is worn at all times and to help other team members as and when called upon.

**Duties**:

- Tank cleaning and decommissioning
- Servicing tanks and associated pipe work, plus equipment i.e. gauges, alarms etc.
- Carry out site surveys for works specifications and HSE requirements. Look at full scope of works; i.e. tank cleaning, fuel cleaning and maintenance opportunities.
- Preparing detailed site & survey reports
- Taking fuel and emission samples
- Testing fuel samples - following correct procedures
- Fuel conditioning
- Maintaining, calibrating and repair all equipment; making office aware of defects
- Monitoring stock levels i.e. PPE & equipment used
- To represent the company in an appropriate manner at all times when dealing with suppliers, couriers, customers and colleagues.
- To produce the highest standard of work possible in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- To work as a member of a team helping to implement and carry out all company working practices, Health & Safety and Environmental procedures.
- To carry out any other activities necessary for the smooth running of the business.
- Be reliable, flexible and maintain a high level of training.

- CSCS
- Experience with Tank Inspection, Gauges, and Installation
- Experience with NDT testing
- Experience with Site surveys
- Experience with Tank reconditioning and decommissioning
- Oftec certified 10-600A
- Driving Licence

**Hours**:
6am-4pm with flexibility required due to nature of work, overtime and staying away when required)
