Join us as a Climate Data Analyst
- Joining a cutting edge data team, you'll play a vital role in helping the bank to make climate-first business decisions, quantifying the environmental impact of our lending and guiding our customers to reduce their carbon footprint in an economically sustainablemanner
- You'll provide s upport and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of business problems, including modelling the impact of climate change and identifying new innovative ways to support our green transition
- This is a hands on role in which you'll hone your data analysis expertise and gain valuable exposure to stakeholders across a dynamic area of our business

**What you'll do**
As a Data Analyst in our Climate Modelling team, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality business solutions with a focus on how our business and our customers affect the world around us.
You'll be performing data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis, alongside developing and performing standard queries to ensure data quality and identify data inconsistencies and missing data. You'll also be w orking on technical researchprojects, using data science modelling techniques to build solutions for climate related problems.
Day-to-day, you'll also be:

- Collecting, profiling and mapping appropriate data to use in new or existing solutions as well as for ongoing data activities
- Identifying and documenting data migration paths and processes, standardising data naming, data definitions and modelling
- Helping to interpret customer needs and turning them into functional or data requirements and process models
- Building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with key business stakeholders
- Supporting and influencing within the team to ensure effective delivery against agreed priorities for each franchise
- Working with external vendors, franchises, supply chain and central market data teams to bring in new sources of climate data

**The skills you'll need**
To succeed in this role, you'll need evidence of previous project implementation and work experience gained in a data analysis related field as part of a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, you'll hold a degree in a quantitative discipline such as computerscience, mathematics, statistics, physics, or have evidence of equivalent practical experience.
We're looking for someone with an analytical mindset, who first and foremost believes in the mission of reducing environmental impact. Ideally, you'll bring experience of handling climate data.
We'll also look for:

- An in-depth understanding of the interrelationships of data and multiple data domains
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- The ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- The ability to prioritise your work
