Falkirk, United Kingdom Home Start Falkirk Full time

**Home-Start Falkirk currently has vacancies for Trustees ( a voluntary role).**

Home-Start UK is the leading family support charity striving to give young children the best possible start in life. We work with families to help them overcome issues such as isolation, mental health difficulties, bereavement, family breakdown, addiction, physical ill-health and many others.

Trustees undertake a wide range of roles but are mainly responsible for making the charity effective, providing overall direction and maintaining sound management of funds. Trustees help make decisions and guide the charity to deliver the best possible service for the families it supports. Being a trustee is very rewarding, giving many opportunities for personal development and the chance to give something back to your local community.

We need a range of experience and perspectives on what we do to improve our decisions and strengthen our organisation. Our existing Trustees range in age from 29 to 65 with backgrounds in finance, nursing, strategic planning and training.

**What’s in it for you?**

You can give back to others using your existing skills and experience and what you’ve learned along the way. It can help you with your own personal and career development by growing your experience and knowledge of the voluntary sector with training and the support of experienced Board members. A full induction programme is provided. Trustees can also access national training, networking and support from Home-Start UK.
