Over your time with us, you'll get to spend time alongside our Buying Assistants and Logistics team so that you get a real feel of the Buying Process. **Your New Role**
- Complete market reviews and make recommendations on products to consider for listing in our seasonal ranges and retail strategy
- Manage the seasonal timeline of product development through to launch
- Participate in sampling sessions to provide feedback to suppliers to ensure product quality is optimised and to assist the Buying team in deciding the outcome of National tenders
- Work alongside our Logistics team to help optimise the supply chain from factory to store
- Carries out general administration, word processing, data entry and filing
- Run weekly reporting to monitor current category position in relation to market
- Work alongside the Team and Director to propose new product / category launches
- Ensures that a polite and professional manner is maintained in all internal / external communications
- Contributes positively and constructively to the Buying Team
- Liaises with authorities as required
- Ensure Level 4 qualification tasks are completed on a weekly basis and time is strategically planned for prep and final assessment revision

**About You**
- GSCE Maths & English - Grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Previous work experience in a customer facing role or retail sector
- Basic IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong teamwork skills
- Has a strong work ethic and a clear desire to succeed
- A conscientious, hardworking individual with a ‘can-do attitude’
- Demonstrates a consistently positive attitude
- Remains calm under pressure
- Works as efficiently as possible to maximise productivity
- Understands the importance of punctuality

**What You’ll get in Return**
- 18 Month Fixed Term Contract
- Level 4 Buying & Merchandising qualification
- Salary details £9.32 per hour (£372.80 per week) rising to £11.77 per hour (£470.80 per week)
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
- 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
