We are seeking to appoint an Administrator to join the Saffron Teaching School Hub as the Administrator for the Saffron Appropriate Body service.

Teaching School Hubs are centres of excellence led by schools and multi-academy trusts. They offer teacher training and professional development for teachers and leaders at all stages of their career.

Appropriate Bodies support and monitor the schools and the teachers they work with, ensuring that schools provide adequate support to teachers for the first two years of their teaching career.

**Key aspects of the role**

The Administrator will be responsible for the smooth-running of the Saffron Appropriate Body (AB), providing efficient and professional administrative support to the TSH Director, the Deputy Director with responsibility for AB, and the AB leads. Our AB Service currently supports 550 Early Career Teachers, as well as their mentors, Induction Tutors and School Leaders.

This is an extremely interesting and varied role. The AB Administrator will manage the operation and ensure our team of Appropriate Body Leads and Associate Leads are fully supported with their work monitoring and supporting ECT induction. At Saffron Teaching School Hub we prioritise our relationships with the schools and teachers we support; this is key to our efficacy and success. The AB Administrator will be a point of contact for the AB Service and will have frequent contact with schools and teachers.

We don’t anticipate many applicants will already have the knowledge and skills required for this role, so we are looking for applicants who are willing to learn.

**Skills required**
- Excellent digital data skills; managing large amounts of constantly changing data on various data management systems; strong capabilities are needed particularly with MS Excel
- Able to communicate calmly in writing, by telephone and in person
- Relational strengths: able to form strong connections with our team, our schools and our teachers
- Able to work constructively in a team
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage significant workload peaks
- Willing and able to learn new skills

**Further information**

This is a permanent full-time post (35 hours per week, term time only) from 9:00am to 5:00pm (39 weeks annually). 4 days per week and some remote working may be negotiated. Salary will be on the Local Government Scale 19-25 pro-rata dependent on experience. Actual in the region of £24,148.14.

The role is based at Saffron Walden County High School, Audley End Road, Saffron Walden, CB11 4UH.

Immediate start available. Latest start September 1st 2024.
