Flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated, you will provide a comprehensive medical secretarial service, within the Gynaecology Service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Primary duties include digital audio transcription within the recognised guarantee times, maintaining and updating the computerised In Patient Waiting list, processing all discharge correspondence timeously, including test results, dealing with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives, GPs, etc and liaising with other internal departments, such as Health Records, Medical Imaging, etc.

You should have a recognised qualification such as the AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries or an equivalent secretarial qualification, such as RSA or Scotvec. Medical terminology is essential for this post.

**Please note**: this is a fixed term/secondment opportunity for 12 months.
