Petroassist UK Ltd is part of the Petrotec Group of Companies. We are a nationwide sales, service and installation business, selling and maintaining a range of forecourt equipment including Pumps, Payment Terminals, Tank Gauges and other ancillary equipment.
The primary function of this role is to provide preventative and reactive service maintenance to a range of electronic and mechanical fuel dispensing equipment and associated petrol retail forecourt equipment. Working independently as part of a team you will provide the highest standards in customer excellence and operate with defined EHS processes and procedures, there will be a requirement for working away from home for periods of time (3 to 4 days).
The base for this role will be Halifax.
Working alongside the Lead Installation Engineer - Civils, to assist in all civils aspects within a petrol forecourt environment. This role requires frequent travel away from home with overnight stays.
**Position Responsibilities**
- To assist the Lead Engineer in all aspects of his role.
- To assist with the setup of the work areas, and the safe management of materials and equipment.
- To assist with the management of visitors and site documentation.
- To assist with all civils aspects, including but not limited to, excavating, laying, or repairing of services, kerb laying, grillage set up, balancing up of the ground, forming of shuttering, concreting of trenches and bays.
- Undertake installation of chamber systems including fiberglass boxes, preformed and shuttered chambers.
- Other duties may include assisting our electricians or pipefitters with aspects of their work to facilitate timely reinstatement.
- To assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy workplace.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulation and working practices.
You will learn the following key tasks:
- Safe excavation of a petrol forecourt.
- Petrol Forecourt construction, why we do things the way we do them.
- Guidelines for the construction of Petrol Forecourts
- Working safely when on a Petrol Forecourt.
- CDM management and documentation.
**Qualifications**
- UK driving licence
