Are you a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who can work well within a team and individually, do you have a desire for learning, personal development and supporting the continued development of our Urgent and Emergency Care services? Do you thrive on delivering excellent patient care and experience and could help drive the future aspirations of the department as a member of our team, if so we want to hear from you.
As an organisational and emergency department we are pleased to be advertising a number of clinical and non-clinical roles as part of our ongoing new build and development of the urgent and emergency care services. We are currently in the final weeks of the £30 million investment and development of a brand new purpose built Emergency Department, which comprises of an 8 bedded resus area, Rapid Assessment Triage and ambulance handover area, 35 clinical rooms including a paediatric area, 2 triage rooms and a dedicated area with 6 clinical rooms for the Urgent Care Service, the new build will provide the right environment to see and treat patients attending with an emergency or urgent complaint ensuring they are seen in the right place, by the right person whilst maintaining national emergency care standards.
Whilst the new build offers state of the art patient facilities it has seen significant investment in staff facilities including a large staff rest area and changing facilities. The department also offers an extensive career development pathway and significant investment has been made to support the continued training and education of the ED/UCS team linked to each individual role, including RCN Level 1&2 competencies, NMTNG level 1&2, TILS, TNCC, EPALS, ALS, IRMER and for autonomous practitioners access to educational course as well as a comprehensive development and competency pathways.
As a result of the increased footprint of the new Emergency Department there has been a comprehensive staffing review of the establishment which has enabled us to work to recommended RCN safe staffing numbers, supporting quality and safe nursing care to all our patients.
NLAG is part of one of the largest acute and community Group arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
