**The Story of Emily**

The Story of Emily is a living and immersive exhibition, set within the restored ground of The Rectory, the family home of Emily Hobhouse. It aims to tell the treasured tales of Emily Hobhouse’s life, her humanitarian work, and offer an inclusive view of the Anglo-Boer War and her continued fight for women’s rights. It also invites the visitor to reflect on the universal complexities of any war and its effect on society and civilization

**The Restaurant**

Our Restaurant, a beautifully appointed, glass-fronted chamber, offers South African heritage recipes from the late 19th century using the freshest Cornish ingredients.

**Skills and Experience**
- If you have a love for food and beverage, working with others and putting a smile on the guests face then this could be your next opportunity.
- Our Front of House team work together to create unforgettable, seamless experiences for our guests.

**As a host you will**:

- Be able to converse with our guests and expertly guide them through our seasonally changing menus.
- Learn from and share knowledge with your colleagues, within your team and others working within the larger attraction - ensuring you understand our story and our ethos.
