You will be expected to show your enthusiasm to provide excellent building/plumbing maintenance and show an eagerness and willingness to assist on all matters for a range of projects.

You will typically have a varied project workload including residential and commercial properties. You will have demonstrable plumbing experience and capabilities within the construction industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems.
- Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring).
- Install and maintain water supply systems.
- Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks).
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
- Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)
- Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems.
- Carry out a variety of planned and reactive building/plumbing works and maintenance tasks of, which will be varied in nature.
- Fitting, replacement and repair of all aspects of plumbing requirements.
- Carry out plumbing works, maintenance of in residential properties and commercial properties including Council and Healthcare owned assets.
- Work individually or as part of a team to complete repair and maintenance tasks in line with set programmes.
- Manage and prioritise own workload in order to complete repairs in a timely manner and in accordance with timescales agreed with clients and Senior Management Team.
- Use relevant IT systems to record all work undertaken and related expenditure.
- Adhere to health and safety policy and procedures, identify hazards and undertake work risk assessments as required.
- Communicate effectively with building occupiers to minimum inconvenience when planning and undertaking building maintenance.
- Carry out such duties as required or delegated by the Head of Facilities Management, Project Supervisor and Facilities Supervisor.

All employees have a duty to report any accidents, complaints, defects in equipment, near misses and untoward incidents, following company procedures.

To ensure that Health and Safety legislation is complied with at all times, including COSHH, Workplace Risk Assessment and Control of Infection.

Key Skills & Experience - Desired/Essential
- Qualification from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship.
- Valid license to practice profession.
- City and Guilds craft certificate in construction trade or a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in relevant trade or in multi-trade building maintenance operations.
- Multi-Trade skills qualification or similar certificates of competence
- Desired - 3 years’ experience in building trade role or property maintenance role
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Effective communication skills with the ability to provide clear verbal and written information relative to building maintenance activities.
- Good time management with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work as necessary to deal with multiple and competing demands on a regular basis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- IT competent
- Strong collaborative approach and team ethic

Location

This is a National role. Travel may be required to sites as agreed with the Senior Management Team. Our Head Office is at Unit 4, The Crossroads Business Park, Freckleton St, Kirkham, Preston, PR4 2SH.

Full clean driving licence required.
