**Goggins Transport (UK) Ltd are a Liverpool based Family run road haulage company specialising in Container Deliveries/Collection throughout the UK and Ireland (North & South) & General Haulage and Distribution using our own liveried Skeletal and Tautliner trailers.**

**From our home base we operate 63 Articulated Trucks mainly Mercedes & Renault and 125 Trailers with a variety of spec.**

**You must have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team as required and be able to complete the necessary documentation required**

**The position**:
HGV Mechanic

**The role**:

- Carry out repair work to company vehicles, to VOSA standards.
- Carry out vehicle inspections / servicing and MOT preparations
- Ensure the work undertaken is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with instructions.
- Diagnose faults on vehicles and repair as necessary ensuring the root cause is identified and documented
- Completion, in a detailed and appropriate manner, of all relevant paperwork.
- Endeavour to reduce vehicle down time to a minimum.

**Skills & experience**:

- Time served as an HGV Fitter or equivalent.
- Commercial Vehicle licence is essential
- Good knowledge of all H S & E regulations.
- Flexible to meet the volumes of work that may arise.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.

**Desirable**:

- Good organisational skills

- Flexible approach to work and hours
- Ability to work to deadlines and priorities work demands
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- Being able to work as part of a team

Salary is dependent on experience.
