We are a rapidly expanding import & wholesale company dealing in fresh produce. Our client base consists of wholesale, food service and retail customers. We are looking to appoint a new Intake QC Operative to join our busy team.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Responsible for all QC intake checks and pallet identification for incoming stock, internal auditing, daily quality checks and raising of quality issues.

**Duties**
- Undertaking receipt and checking of incoming stock and paperwork, ensuring quality of product is of an acceptable level.
- Issuing of relevant batch labels to incoming stock.
- Completing regular stock quality checks.
- Reporting of issues as per site procedures and record these via an internal tracking system.
- Assisting Technical Manager/QC Supervisor on site projects, as required.
- Conduct internal auditing.
- Provide information/input for external audits/visits.
- 3rd party quality checks and reports, as required.

**Desired Experience/Qualifications**
- Food hygiene.
- Quality experience within fresh produce industry, specifically inspection of produce.
- Awareness of HACCP.
- Experience of internal auditing (desired, not essential).
- Strong communication skills.
- Eye for detail.
- Good organisational skills.
- IT literate.
- Self-motivated.
- Strong work ethic.

Previous experience within a quality role in the fresh produce industry is desired. A good knowledge of all Microsoft platforms is preferable, and full training will be given on our bespoke stock management system.

**Working hours**:
4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year
