Bristol, United Kingdom University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Applications are invited for this Clinical Fellow post in a large UK Principal Treatment Centre. Bristol serves the whole South West region (approximately 5.5m people); with 150 new paediatric patients diagnosed each year. There is an extensive shared care network, and all areas of the specialty are represented. Bristol is a supraregional centre for Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT).

This post is to start as soon as possible for 12 months initially with potential for extension to 24 months.

The post encompasses paediatric haematology, oncology and BMT at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. The post can be adapted to the training needs of the applicant and would be suitable for a senior trainee who wants to gain further subspecialty experience in haematology, oncology or Bone Marrow Transplantation. Alternatively the post could be appropriate for a trainee interested in learning more about the specialty in which case the postholder will rotate, depending on departmental needs and their interests between in-patient haematology (malignant and benign), in-patient BMT, inpatient oncology and out-patients.

These posts are compliant with both the New Deal and EWTD. This post is not recognised for training purposes. The post holder will be part of the whole hospital out of hours service for occasional night but in the main will cover the Haematology, Oncology and BMT services weekends and evenings.
