**Purpose of the Role**

The Tutor will be responsible for a caseload of work-based Apprentices, diploma only or skills bootcamps learners and short course classroom delivery. They will plan and carry out assessment against National Occupational Standards, ensuring timely achievement of qualifications. You will also be required to deliver high quality training to all learners on health, social care, teaching and childcare courses within the training centre.

**Key Accountabilities and/or Key Objectives**

**1.** 85% Achievement on Apprenticeship, timely achievement within 10%

**2.** 95% Timely Achievement on Short Course

**3.** Ensure all learners are effectively Safeguarded

**4.** Ensure 100% Safe Certifications

**5.** Ensure Learner/ Employer satisfaction rate of 95%

**General Accountabilities and/ or General Objectives**

1. Motivate and support learners to achieve their apprenticeships and learning aspirations through exceptional teaching and learning

2. Carry out Lesson planning, preparation and research to ensure effective delivery in classroom sessions

3. Ensure that learners are engaged, retained and on target for timely completion of learning aims

4. Prioritise appointments to ensure timely completions

5. Monitor learner’s progress and maintain accurate learner records

6. Ensure 20% Of the Job Training is achieved for all learners completing apprenticeships

7. To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners

8. Demonstrate a commitment to promoting Health and safety, Equality and diversity and British Values in line with companies’ policies and procedures

9. Understand, support and promote the Prevent agenda and Winnovation’s Prevent action plan/risk assessment

10. Plan and deliver effective functional skills teaching and learning. Ensure embedding of Functional skills in delivery

11. Set up and support examinations and end point assessments

12. Participate in and support the annual self-assessment process

13. Maintain own annual record of CPD detailing impact to learners

14. Provide information, advice and guidance throughout the learner’s journey and provide effective feedback to learners to allow them to understand where they are on their learning journey and how take next steps to build on achievements

15. Ensure teaching and learning is clearly evidence across all training delivery

16. Ensure Assessment Cycling is operational and fit for purpose

17. Ensure that fair assessment takes place against the national occupational standards are made

18. Update e-portfolio with assessment information within 48 hours after assessment decision

19. Complete learner reviews in line with contractual and funding requirements

20. Attend and participate in standardisation meetings and monthly performance reviews

21. Support the company’s marketing strategy

22. Assist with development of the provision to ensure the programme is up to date and has the desired learning impact

23. Identify and support the individual needs of all learners at the point of enrolment and throughout the learner journey

24. Stretch and challenge learners to promote and inspire further learning

25. Support learner and employer relations

26. Work in line with the companies TLA strategy

27. Cover teaching sessions when required

28. Reflect on your own practice to evaluate and develop exceptional teaching, learning and assessment

29. Additional duties appropriate to the post as directed by your line manager

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £29,000.00 per year
