**About the Role**:
Ludham & Stalham Green Surgeries are looking for an experienced clinical coder to join our team on a part time or job share basis, who shares our ethos of excellent patient centred care.
The main duties include:
- summarising and reading code relevant information from the patients clinical records into the practice IT system, working in accordance with the practice notes summarising protocol.
- analysing medical records and identifying documentation deficiencies.
- reviewing and verifying documentation for diagnosis, procedures and treatment results.
- contributing to keeping patient information up to date.
- working methodically and accurately, organising and and prioritising your own workload.
- working independently within a team.
- working alongside the clinical data manager on QOF/LCS adhering to strict guidelines for General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
You will have the following skills and experience:
- previous experience as a clinical coder / medical secretary.
- administrative experience and good organisation skills.
- sound knowledge of medical terminology.
- proficiency in the MS Office package, as well as excellent general IT skills and experience of working with a clinical system.
- experience in read-coding and work-flowing clinical documentation.
- ability to 'think on your feet'.
- excellent communication skills and a friendly approach.
- understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and data security, at all times.
- ability to multi-task and to work accurately under pressure.
- ability to work as part of a team, as well as being comfortable working independently.
