Gateshead Psychological Service has an exciting opportunity for Assistant Educational Psychologists to work into Gateshead schools in a supportive role alongside Educational Psychologists, with a focus on promoting inclusion.

Gateshead is a successful, forward-looking local authority committed to improving the outcomes of all children and young people, with the vision of “Making Gateshead a place where everyone thrives”.

The Psychological Service is a dedicated and well-established team, which is highly respected by schools and within the local authority. The service has developed a highly successful programme for AsEP’s and we are looking to recruit three aspiring Educational Psychologists to join our team for a fixed two year period. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in training as an Educational Psychologist.

The posts require a high level of personal drive, enthusiasm and creativity, plus the ability to work autonomously under pressure. You will work under the supervision of experienced Educational Psychologists to undertake a varied range of activities including group work, training, observation and work with individual children.
