Yard Person

**Job Purpose**

This role is held in addition to the role of forklift operator. As the Yard person you are appointed as the first and last check person for all material entering and leaving the warehouse ensuring all deliveries are accurate and correct, paying attention to detail. You are required to undertake works in connection with the scanning, dispatch, receipt and issue of daily orders to maximise service levels. Reporting any issues to warehouse and transport relating to non-fulfilment of orders in a timely manner. To ensure the safe and efficient storage, segregation of materials.

**Key Performance Indicators/Key decisions**
- Ensuring daily orders are dispatched in a timely and safe manner as per loading instructions.
- Accurate dispatching of daily orders.
- Accurate scanning of product for dispatch.
- Accurate scanning of materials for receipt and issue.
- Accurate scanning of materials when changing locations.
- Ensuring waste bins are tidy and not overflowing.
- Ensuring pre checks are undertaken.
- Accurate operation of PRISM.

**Person Specification**
- Operational knowledge of the warehouse, production processes.
- Demonstrates commitment to safety awareness, improvement and accident reduction.
- Quality aware - BRC/ISO and Hygiene standards and process awareness.
- Good written and verbal communicator.
- Good IT skills, Word, Excel, Outlook. Good spoken and written English.

Forklift - Essential

- Warehouse experience: 2 years (preferred)
