**Market Research Intern**

**Background and Context**

DAIM would like to develop a programme of short courses in data science and AI to support the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of individuals and professionals. To do this, we must first identify which data science and AI skills gaps exist in our region and nationally, and map these gaps to the teaching and research expertise in DAIM.

We are looking for an intern to assist us on a short-term basis with some market research to develop this CPD offer.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the post**:
As a Market Research Intern, you will support the DAIM Head of Business Engagement and Enterprise in the following activities:
Market research to identify which CPD courses in data science and AI are offered by other providers (including content, format, etc.)

Market research to identify which groups/participants should be targeted for DAIM CPD, potential market size of these groups, and which advertising approaches could work most effectively.

Preparing and conducting surveys and/or interviews, where appropriate, for target recruitment groups, to identify which knowledge gaps in data science and AI should be filled and ascertain levels of interest in training (including content, format, etc.)
