Machinist / Mill Supervisor - Stamco Hoppings

Stamco Hoppings is an importing, manufacturing and wholesale distribution business that supplies a range of timber, boards and wood flooring products to timber and builders merchants, construction companies and a variety of manufacturers across a large area of the South of England.

Stamco-Hoppings was formed in April 2022 when Hoppings Softwood Products Ltd business was acquired by The Sussex Turnery and Moulding Company (Stamco), this acquisition merged two established companies with very similar commercial principals, visions and goals. Stamco-Hoppings operates from three sites North and South of London, Hastings (Sussex), Epping (Essex) and Lingfield (Surrey) and we employ over 109 employees.

Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machinist / Mill Supervisor to join our team at Epping.

**The Role**

Maintaining the highest levels of health and safety the Mill Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient milling and sawing operations carried out on site to enable an effective machining process of timber in line with operational needs.

**The Responsibilities**
- Ability to safely operate all equipment within the mill and tool room along with associated software packages
- Experience of working with timber.
- Supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of Kerridge systems desirable
- Forklift, Side-loader Licence
- Set up and operate saws and moulders.
- Make templates and prepare tooling for use
- Offer training and support to members of the team to ensure staff operating mill machinery are competent in their role.
- Ensure all equipment is kept in good and safe working order.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers and colleagues by delivering professional, prompt and effective service

Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
