Npd Coordinator

Prepworld are looking for an **NPD Coordinator** to support the Senior Innovations Manager & NPD Manager on NPD projects for both current PrepWorld customers and potential new customers enabling key deadlines to be hit. Key focus on project tracking and communication throughout the NPD process

Assist with relevant sign off from required departments throughout the entire process to launch. Working closely with key internal stakeholders to improve and assist fundamental improvements to their business processes.

Support delivering good service and managing expectations across the business & be recognised as part of NPD and wider Commercial team.

**Main duties**:

- NPD Lead accounts
- Support on all NPD across additional accounts where required.
- Collaborative approach towards customer briefs and tenders working alongside, CM’s, TM’s, Procurement, Packaging, Finance, Marketing & Operations, ensuring all briefs are time managed and all stakeholders have been provided sufficient time to be able to complete their tasks.
- Understanding of end to end CP process, including customer relevant documentation and on-line systems.
- Coordinate concept to launch on key accounts, including regular update meets with customer teams to ensure alignment.
- Work across the PrepWorld functions (including Technical / Sales / Production / Packaging / Procurement) to help support new product samples and support necessary trials when and where appropriate
- Support for all NPD sampling requiring keen attention to detail ensuring quality and coordination with NPD Manager and relevant Customer Technologist/Account Managers/Production Managers/Procurement Managers
- Support sourcing all raw materials required involving liaising with the packaging team and suppliers, procurement team, production and collecting additional materials off site as required for samples
- Raising of dummy orders, ensuring product is made as requested, checking quality of product. Liaising with production on issues
- Liaise with Packaging, Technical, Production, Planning and Procurement to ensure all requirements are in place for factory trials.
- Pre-production trials attendance and support., liaising with production and planning, ensuring product is made to the line standard provided. Writing of report
- Support NPD build document control, logging all versions of products developed by the NPD team including calculating QUIDs
- Ensure the key NPD tracker activities are achieved, update NPD projects tracker regularly, provide information to all internal parties.
- Attend weekly NPD meetings ensuring all data captured on tracker is up to date. Lead meeting in absence of NPD Mgr & Senior Innovations Mgr.
- Support departmental continuous improvement initiatives to increase innovation, implement better ways of working
- Collaborate on the management of the development process from concept origination to product handover meeting assisting the meeting of all deadlines both internally and externally.
- Assist with the planning and management of the department’s workload to ensure that all key deliverables are met, and to the required standard.
- Continuously review project status on all products and lead corrective action if required.
- Work alongside Procurement and Technical teams on progression of new fruit trials
- Support internal and external NPD projects
- Support revision of NPD tracker documents
- Support pre-artwork meetings
- Supporting category and quarterly reviews
- Write product submission documents in conjunction with relevant customer templates
- HACCP sign off and meeting attendance when covering in the absence of the NPD Manager Support on large NPD/Category projects such as innovation day/mood boards, assisting on the co-ordination of samples and purchasing of products and presentation of these
- Supporting internal and external benchmarking sessions by accumulating relevant samples
- Conduct store visits and reviews, reporting finding to Category team
- Keep up to date with latest fruit trends
- Ensure formal systems are adhered to
- Providing Yammer updates on NPD related topics
- Responsible for the maintenance of NPD work area
- Responsible for managing own workload
- Lead by example with knowledge, attitude and the desire to succeed
- Supporting of holiday cover

**Who we are looking for**:

- Working knowledge of retailer requirements for sample submissions (essential)
- Experience / Knowledge of Critical Pathway / Concept to Launch (essential)
- HACCP L2 minimim (highly advantageous)
- High quality fruit preparation / manufacturing experience
- Strong team and work ethic
- Well organised and clear ways of working
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working cross functionally at all levels
