**Job description**:
The tax assistant will work closely with the other Group Tax Assistants whose responsibility is for tax compliance for the Group. The mission will be to provide a full range of tax services in compliance with local laws and regulations, reporting indirectly and directly to, Head of Tax and, Group Tax Reporting & Compliance Manager respectively.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Local tax and administration compliance. This includes close collaboration with local tax and finance team
- VAT, CT and IPT reconciliations
- Prepare insurance premium tax (“IPT”) returns across Europe
- Review of IPT contracts to ensure the correct taxes are applied at the appropriate rates
- Keep abreast of changing tax laws and tax rates, including tax research of issues

**Qualifications**
- Studying toward ACA, ACCA or CTA

**Experience**
- Preferably Insurance industry experience
- 1/2 years’ experience in a similar position, ideally with an international scope
- Finance/accounting background
