Animal Carer

Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Animal Carers to provide exceptional care and and husbandry to our family of animals alongside talks and presentations to farm visitors. If you have a passion for animals, are confident, and out going, and enjoy educating and communicating with people, we encourage you to apply.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide excellent care to our family of animals
- Prepare fresh beds, food and water in an efficient manner
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Develop and follow routine treatments to prevent and reduce the risk of infection
- Perform daily health checks
- Order food supplies and ensure they are unloaded and stored correctly
- Deliver talks and presentations and practical experiences to visitors, schools and holiday groups: activities like pony grooming, chick handling, lamb feeding etc
- Manage a team of volunteers and students
- House keeping and maintaining a clean work space
- Assist in the delivery of our education programme at a local school

**Requirements**:

- Previous farming or animal care experience preferred
- Minimum City and Guilds level 3 Animal Management qualification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a CRB check
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £8.60-£11.44 per hour
