TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROVIDE EFFICIENT, PROMPT, TROUBLEFREE, AND COURTEOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Provides efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous service by interacting with all members and guests that come into the leisure club.
- Ensure all members and guests sign in on the disclaimer form.
- Serves members/guests with a locker key if available.
- Tells members/guests where to get a towel and gives them directions to the changing rooms/gym/pool.
- Ensures that the working area and station is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensures the smooth running of the leisure club at all times.
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of fitness related topics, to be able to advise guests on correct technique and safe practice.
- Provide sufficient/adequate training programmes/inductions as part of a service to members using working knowledge of fitness related topics.
- Actively promotes and sells membership packages to new prospects enquiring about the leisure club.
- Processes new memberships in the correct way on ‘Clubwise’ and confers with the leisure club manager about any changes/cancellations that need to be made.
- Keeps the leisure club clean in accordance with hotel standards.
SECURITY, HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Ensures that cash is secure in till at all times.
- Ensures all discrepancies in cash are declared to the duty manager and financial controller.
- Maintains high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy.
- Notifies the leisure club manager of any lost/found objects and put them in a locked cupboard.
- Reports all potential and real hazards appropriately in accordance with hotel procedure.
- Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures
- Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees
- Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others
- Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and notifies the leisure club manager.
- Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct
- Performs pool tests at designated two hour intervals and takes the necessary corrective actions if results fall out of normal parameters.
- Performs am/pm walk the floor checks and reports any issues in accordance with hotel procedure (Opera)
- Performs regular maintenance checks on all gym equipment and reports any faults to leisure club manager and the relevant service engineers (Precor).
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
