_Cleaning Team Member _
We are looking for an energetic and motivated person to join our expanding cleaning division. The new member will ensure that areas of work allocated are cleaned to the required standard/specification as well as assisting in the cleaning of both residential and commercial customers.

This is a part time role, permanent, with a three-month trial period.

The hours are 4 hours per day, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. What hours these are can be negotiated, but once they have been decided, they must then be stuck to. You will be working alone for the majority of the time, though you may occasionally work with another member of the team. There is a possibility of additional hours being available when one-off jobs within the development come up.

The post is based in central Horsham, Surrey; with the post-holder working at a specific residential development.

The post is paid based on hours worked, by direct bank transfer, a week in arrears on a Thursday. Wages are negotiable, based on experience and ability.

Desirable qualities include physical fitness (the job demands this), good people skills, an ability to work using your own initiative, an understanding of Health and Safety at work and COSHH regulations, as well as being a good team-worker.

**Interviews will conducted as and when we can, usually with a phone interview over Skype/Zoom, etc. preceding a physical interview at a local location, with a view to the successful applicant starting on a mutually convenient date between the 8th and 22nd July 2024.**

- To ensure that the work is completed to a satisfactory standard, as outlined in individual contracts.
- To work under the direction of the Line Manager to ensure:

- All cleaning operatives observe manufacturers and COSSH regulations in the mixing and storing of cleaning materials
- Materials are safely stored away at the end of each shift
- To clean areas to the required specification, as directed, using correct techniques and cleaning equipment.
- To ensure the safe removal of litter and waste to allocated disposal points, taking particular care with liquids, broken glass or other substances, which may be unsafe to residents, staff, and members of the public.
- Emptying vacuum cleaners and buffer vacuum bags at the end of each session.
- Cleaning and checking all equipment used after use, checking cables for wear and tear and storing away in a suitable safe area. Notifying supervisor of any faults found.
- Ensure mops, cloths etc., are washed and left to dry as appropriate at the end of each session.
- Reporting immediately to the Line Manager any defective electrical sockets, lighting, vandalism etc.
- Ensuring Cleaning Supervisor/Line Manager is aware of low stock levels of materials and equipment
- Undertake daily routine safety and maintenance checks, including, but not limited to:

- Ensuring that vehicles, machinery and equipment used are well maintained
- Ensuring that vehicles, machinery and equipment used are kept clean
- Ensuring that vehicles, machinery and equipment used are not exposed to the risk of damage or loss/theft
- Complete documents relating to the role of the post, including, but not limited to:

- Timesheets
- COSSH paperwork
- Expenses Forms
- Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be used.
- To undertake all duties in such a way as to enhance and protect the reputation and public profile of Willow Services (Southern) Ltd. and any associated residential management company.
- The post holder agrees not to disclose any confidential information obtained by holding the position to anyone, unless required to do so by law.
- Reporting immediately to the Line Manager any Health & Safety or maintenance issues.
- Any keys held by the post holder to residential and commercial properties will be governed by the following:

- The post holder shall not have any copies made from these keys nor distribute any alarm codes.
- The post holder shall not lend keys to anyone/nor share any alarm code for any reason, other than those related to the running of the company.
- On completion of their employment contact, the post holder will return any keys directly to their immediate line manager.
- The post holder understands that should any keys/alarm code be used by another individual that they are responsible for any and all damages, and understand that charges will be brought against them by Willow Services (Southern) Ltd. and any and all affiliated companies.
- The post holder will perform all duties in accordance with Council and Health & Safety at Work Regulations.
- Ensure effective communication with other members of the Team/Line Management.
- To undergo periodic training and development as and when required.
- Maintain the orderly condition of all developments we provide service to.
