We have an **exciting opportunity** for a **Butchery Assistant** in our Butchery Department within our SPAR Store who likes to have fun working with a team and is passionate about offering excellent service and standards to our customers. Reporting to the butchery manager we are looking for someone who is motivated, friendly, hands-on and enjoys working in retail.

**Job Purpose**

The receiving, processing and assembly of products to customer requirements

**Key Tasks/Responsibilities**:

- The unloading / receiving of goods and the immediate transfer to the correct temperature controlled storage area
- Adherence with all critical control points on all deliveries
- Adherence to stock rotational procedures at all times
- The accurate assembly / marking up of customer orders
- Adherence to safe operating practices in accordance with food safety systems in order to prevent contamination / spoilage of product
- Accurate recording of all critical control points at all stages of the HACCP system
- Control of unauthorised personnel within the department
- Maintaining the highest level of general / personal cleanliness
