**About the Opportunity**
Within our European Growth and Sales team, we have an immediate requirement for an experienced Growth & Sales Leader to help identify, develop and win the biggest opportunities in the industry.
Role responsibilities:
Grow the business by winning our top strategic pursuits:
- Contribute towards the growth of Jacobs’ European business by identifying, developing, and winning the biggest and most complex opportunities
- Align Jacobs’ values and business strategy with the sales environment Protect Jacobs’ world-leading brand for delivering complex contracts and innovative solutions
Identify exciting new opportunities:
- Maintain and expand external networks, including clients, partner organisations and industry associations. Attend external industry events, when appropriate
- Keep current on industry trends, investments and policy direction to identify potential new investment areas and client organisations
- Instigate new client meetings and nurture relationships. Develop a deep understanding of their vision, investment plans and delivery challenges
- Collaborate closely with our Growth Directors and Client Account Managers to help them identify and shape strategic opportunities with their clients
Build strategies to win:
- Gain a deep understanding of client challenges and draw on the wider Jacobs organisation to develop intelligent solutions
- Explore and evolve strategies and opportunities with clients. Help them shape their investments and procurement strategies, including commercial and contractual arrangements
- Work closely with Client Account Managers and operational teams to develop distinctive value propositions that enhance our customers’ competitive position
- Develop marketing material and support external marketing events
Execute the strategy:
- Form and lead pursuit teams. Establish the right behaviours to create high performing teams
- Ensure pursuit teams comply with internal sales processes and governance
- Ensure pursuit teams produce high-quality, opportunity-specific response documents which include the value proposition and win planning elements
- Develop intelligent risk, commercial and contractual solutions and manage risk exposure
- Prepare and present this information to Executive Leaders to make sound investment decisions
- Oversee the review, negotiation and close out of contracts
- Manage the handover of successful pursuits to Operations
**Here’s what you’ll need**:
- Experience:
- The following experience would be beneficial but not essential:
- A diverse sales background and evidence of business growth
- Knowledge of how large, complex contracts are structured and delivered
- Current knowledge of industry trends in major project delivery or similar
- Experience of implementing a recognised sales process
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, and associated commercial risks and opportunities
- Knowledge of contracting approaches, and the associated risks
