Machinist CNC- Night Shift

**Position Overview**

To work as part of a team to produce quality precision engineered components to detailed specifications within strict production timeframes and tight tolerances.

Working with small to large components in the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, and Industrial Bronze industry.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Set, Operate and Programme Turning and Mill Turn machines to produce high quality components as per the specification in the works order pack
- Liaise with supervisor and other production team members to produce components to agreed production timescales
- Complete all paperwork necessary

Requirements - Knowledge/Skill
- To set, operate and programme CNC Turning and multi axis machines
- Knowledge of fixtures and speeds and feeds for different raw materials; controls; programming; safety and tooling
- Knowledge of FANUC/Okuma QSP-200L/Mazatrol programming would be preferable
- Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing
- Knowledge of CMM inspection and measuring would be an advantage

Requirements - Experience
- Proven track record and experience using CNC Turning and multi axis machinery and tooling in a previous role is essential, preferably in a highly compliant environment working to tight tolerances
- Use and knowledge of manual measuring equipment
- Use of CMM inspection an advantage
- Knowledge of Victor, Hyundai and Doosan machine tool lathes, multi axis and Mill Turn would be an advantage

Requirements
- Qualifications

Ideally apprentice trained and a formal recognised Engineering Qualification such as City and Guilds/HNC

Other Skills/Abilities
- Good understanding of technical drawings/specifications
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- This role would suit someone who enjoys working with complex precision components out of difficult to machine materials.

- To comply to the required Security standards mandated by the Company and some of its customers
- To comply with HPE procedures detailed in the Employee Handbook
- To maintain company housekeeping standard
