We’re hiring an experienced Children and Young People counsellors to join our existing team in Salisbury.

With a supportive community of over 1,000 counsellors across the Relate Federation, you’ll get the chance to learn from other counsellors, hone your practice with CPD training and clinical supervision.

No session will be the same - children and young people from a wide range of backgrounds access our face-to-face services and in some cases online service too. And we’d love for our counsellors to reflect the diversity of our society and client base, too.

Offering counselling, information, mediation and support to children and young people, individuals, couples and families, we work with people of all backgrounds, sexualities and gender identities at all stages of life. Last year we reached more than 5.6 million people.

Relate Dorset and South Wiltshire provide counselling services, supervised contact and behavioural change programme for perpetrators of domestic violence across Dorset and the Salisbury area.

**What’s the role?**

We’ve been experiencing a really high demand for our children and young people’s services in particular and are looking for an experienced children and young people’s counsellor to join our team.

In this role, you’ll focus on supporting children and young people in both the school environment and via online sessions, with a view to longer term our counsellors returning to delivering face to face appointments at our Salisbury centre. You’ll be caring and understanding, using your counselling expertise to provide the best support possible.

To provide high quality adult relationship counselling services in line with Relate’s standards and policies. You’ll be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure our services are accessible to everyone who needs them.
